2022 Officer of the Year – Officer Antwan Weathersby
The Clinton Police Department is excited to introduce K-9 Officer Antwan Weathersby as our 2022 Officer of the Year. Officers are first nominated by fellow members of the agency, who give details of the employee’s body of work and their conduct for the entire year. It is a prestigious award within the Department because the nominations come from the officer's peers. These nominations are then reviewed by a selection board, including former award recipients. Each board member takes the selection seriously, as the person’s conduct must truly represent the core values that we all share: Integrity, Professionalism, Respect, and Teamwork.
This year we had a great selection of officers nominated for this honor, and being chosen above so many deserving employees is impressive. Officer Weathersby started his law enforcement career at the Clinton Police Department in 2020. Since joining our team, he has adapted to service within the Clinton Police Department. He works diligently and goes above and beyond his regular duties, and demonstrates the values we treasure.
This past year presented a significant number of unique challenges, and Officer Weathersby demonstrated his desire to support the mission and objectives of the Clinton Police Department on and off duty on an almost daily basis. We believe Officer Weathersby is and will continue to be an asset to the department and deserves this award. The Clinton Police Department is honored to present the 2022 Officer of the Year.
