2025 Officer of the Year – Detective Joshua Matthis
The Clinton Police Department is excited to introduce Detective Joshua Matthis as our 2025 Officer of the Year. Officers are first nominated by fellow members of the agency, who give details of the employee’s body of work and their conduct for the entire year. It is a prestigious award within the Department because the nominations come from the officer's peers. These nominations are then reviewed by a selection board, including former award recipients. Each board member takes the selection seriously, as the person’s conduct must truly represent the core values that we all share: Integrity, Professionalism, Respect, and Teamwork.
Joshua Matthis joined the police department in October 2016 and has served professionally and with integrity throughout his career. He has been an integral part of the department's success.
