Officer of the Year

2019 Officer of the Year – Corporal Ariel Nunez

The Clinton Police Department is very excited to introduce our 2019 Officer of the Year, Corporal Ariel Nunez. The award is based on an officer’s work performance that best exemplifies the police department’s core values of Integrity, Professionalism, Respect, and Teamwork. It is a prestigious award within the Department because the nominations come from the officer’s peers and then is selected by a committee of past officer of the year recipients.

Corporal Nunez started his career with the Clinton Police Department in 2015 and was promoted to corporal in August 2018. Through Corporal Nunez’s hard work, he has earned over 350 hours of training throughout his time with the department. Cpl. Nunez was selected by citizens to be a part of the All-America City Committee. He provided assistance to Juan Pablo, the All-America City Committee’s mascot. He accepted the role of working with Juan Pablo, not only for the All-American City project but for the community as well. Cpl. Nunez has demonstrated his desire to support the mission and objectives of the Police Department on a daily basis. He exemplifies initiative and a genuine willingness to serve. We are fortunate to have Cpl. Nunez as a co-worker and a friend.
