Copies of police reports are needed for many different reasons such as insurance purposes, legal purposes, or proof that the incident was reported.

Whatever the reason, it is very simple to get a copy of a police report. You can stop by the Clinton Police Department and pick up a copy of the report M-F, 8am - 5pm. To request a copy of a police report, you can telephone Mrs. Ambar Banos at (910) 592-3105, you can write a letter, or you can email and request a copy.

We will need to know the date of the report, the names of at least one person involved, and the location before processing a request.

There is $2.00 fee for a copy of a police report; however, those requesting a report by mail must send $2.00 along with your return address.

For requests by mail please send a self-addressed stamped envelope by mail to the Clinton Police Department, Attention: Report Request, PO Box 986, Clinton, NC 28329.

Please allow three days for processing of reports, from the time the incident was reported, before requesting a copy.

Citizens involved in a car accident can receive a copy of a wreck report at:

The Clinton Police Department also provides finger printing on Tuesday and Thursday. There is a $10.00 fee per fingerprint card and a NC picture ID is required. Please call 910-592-3105 to schedule a time for finger prints.
