2005 Senior Activities
The Bellamy Center offers a wide variety of programs for older adults. Seniors go bowling in Fayetteville once a month for fun, exercise, and fellowship.

Knitting, sewing, and quilting are popular activities. Many of the class participants
enter their projects in the Mid Carolinas Silver Arts Competition.

There is always a smiling face to greet you!

Learn to play Bridge with your friends, family members, or neighbors.

Guest speakers are invited to the center on a regular basis. Some come for fun,
others come to educate.

Music and singing are a part of most programs. Cheerful voices singing familiar
songs always life the spirits of those listening.

The summer water aerobics program is very popular.

Grandparents Raising Grandchildren is offered once per month through a
grant from the Mid Carolinas Area Agency on Aging.

Senior Games is also sponsored by Mid Carolinas and participating agencies
from Sampson, Cumberland, and Harnett Counties.

The horseshoe competition is held at Royal Lane Park each year.

Some years the day of competition is so-o-o-o cold, but we use friendship and
Krispy Kreme Dougnuts to keep us warm!

Shuffleboard is also held at Royal Lane Park. The courts are available
year-round for practice.

Neither rain, nor snow, nor blowing wind can stop a competition!

If you really want a fun time, come give a hoot or a toot with our famous,
touring 76ers Band! We are really proud of them!

Senior Coordinator,Alice Montague, keeps the senior center busy and bustling.
